Roswell Post-Release Supervision
NMCD Probation and Parole is a community supervision system, not a custodial facility. A person on parole has left prison custody but remains subject to New Mexico Parole Board conditions and NMCD supervision. Probation generally stems from a judge’s order and may follow county jail, state prison, or a noncustodial sentence. Either status can continue after a person is no longer shown at a jail or prison.

Roswell Supervision Source Layers
A complete status check uses three layers. The court judgment or order establishes probation and its terms. A parole action and sentencing record establish the transition from prison to parole. Do not infer discharge from a date that appears expired. Tolling, revocation, amendment, another case, or a record update may affect the result. Tolling means that a legal time period stops running under the applicable rule. A short public field cannot reveal all calculations.

Roswell County-State Split
Chaves County Court Services and Offender Supervision is not NMCD. The county program handles misdemeanor and DWI compliance, electronic monitoring, and community service. NMCD handles state probation and parole. A person released from the Adult Detention Facility to a county bracelet program may not appear as an NMCD prison location, yet still remains under a local order.
Begin with the order. If it names NMCD or felony probation, use the state search and Region IV office. If it assigns county Court Services, use the local case and county program. Some people can have duties in both systems because separate cases or orders overlap. Confirm each obligation independently.
Roswell Absconder Record Checks
An Absconder Only filter in NMCD search narrows results to a particular public status. It signals alleged noncompliance or wanted status. It does not prove a new offense, a conviction, or the facts behind the agency entry. Chaves County did not have a verified local probation or parole absconder list in the research sweep.
Use the live NMCD result, then confirm through the responsible district office. A court docket may show a warrant, revocation filing, hearing, or amended order, but a gap in the docket is not clearance. Record the date checked because status can change.

Roswell Supervision Discharge
Leaving prison and completing the whole sentence are separate milestones. NMCD’s Certificate of Completion is issued after the full sentence, including probation or parole, ends. It is not interchangeable with the earlier day a person left Roswell Correctional Center. Likewise, a parole eligibility date only marks when consideration is legally available under the applicable rule.
For documentary proof, request the judgment, supervision order, parole document, discharge record, or certificate that answers the precise question. The New Mexico Parole Board and NMCD Probation and Parole have related but different roles. The Board has authority to grant, deny, or revoke parole under state law and sets conditions where applicable. NMCD officers provide community supervision. The Board’s quarterly public meetings address agency business. They are not a person-by-person calendar of offender hearings, and archived public agendas or minutes should not be used as a substitute for an individual parole record.
